Hey Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend :)
So Theresa inspired me a couple of weeks ago to sign up for the 2011 100+ Book Challenge. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I clicked on over, became extremely excited, and the next thing I knew, I was a participant.
I know it's hard to find enough time to read these days, so I'm actually pretty psyched to do this. I think I read maaaaybe 30 books all of last year, so this is a huge undertaking for me, but hopefully I will be encouraged enough to succeed.
I'm a little behind so far... I've only read 2.5 books to date, but I plan to catch up soon! :)
1. Love Happens - Elizabeth Chandler
2. Matched - Ally Condie
3. The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins (currently reading)
Next on the agenda are the following two books of the trilogy.
If anyone is interested in joining, you can sign up HERE and review the rules.
I wanted to challenge myself with something different this year, and this is it.
What about you guys? Have you signed up for this particular challenge or something similar for 2011?

I'd like to do a book a week like I did last year, but I'm not going to stress about it. I am dedicated to reading 20+ historical fiction book this year- supporting my genre!
I really enjoyed Matched, but I loved The Hunger Games. I've read them a couple times and want to re-read them again. And I never re-read books!
I'm doing my own 110 book challenge this year. So far I've read 9!
I hope you do well with this challenge.
What did you think of Matched?
I'm doing the GoodReads 2011 challenge: 150 books. I hope I can meet that high number. I finished 9 so far.
I haven't read The Hunger Games yet.
Yeah, Collins is great. And fast-paced! Just what you want to keep turning the pages.
Wow, that's fantastic!!!! I'm doing my own personal challenge - one to branch out and read more diverse literature as opposed to staying in my little YA bubble:) Good luck!!!
Good luck with your challenge! I don't think I'll take part, but I would like to be more concious of what I read and how much I read - so you may just have insprired me to keeping a reading journal!
WOW!!! 100 books, that is going to be very hard but I know you can do it. :D Best of luck!
I'm working on the MilWordy challenge (to write 1 million words a year) and my own personal 24 Books Challenge. :)

I rarely read when I'm writing, but since I'm on a little break I should pick a few up.
Ooh, fantastic! Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to do something like this, but I'd probably take it all way too seriously and then get stressed out by it! :)
Good luck! That is awesome! Great books to jump out of the gate with, I think!
Good luck. I would stress with a reading challenge and I prefer to read for pleasure. ;)
No reading challenges for me because I only read for fun. That said, I'll cheer from the sidelines, for all of you doing reading challenges.
I haven't signed up but good luck with it. I'm sure you'll complete it but even if you don't you'll have read tons of books - and that can only be a good thing.
Have fun!
Jai
I haven't signed up because I know I will fail, but it's definitely my plan to read more this year.
I'm also a huge fan of The Hunger Games. I read it once, and then re-read maybe 3 or 4 times because I really wanted to figure out why, structurally and otherwise, this book worked so well. But now I'm afraid we're all going to get your hopes up. I have Matched, but I haven't yet read it.
I read quite a bit but they are mostly MG or YA. Makes it much easier to read 100!
Good for you! I don't think I could do that. I have become so picky about my reading time!
Go you! I'm counting my books this year, just to see. I tend to read a lot, so I'm way curious. But, lazy me, I'm not officially joining the challenge. Look forward to reading your updates though!
No challenge for me this year :( I do have a habit of reading a few books at a time so maybe I will read a good amount! I've heard great things about Hunger Games. Good luck!!
No challenge for me this year but you're starting with some great ones. I liked Matched a lot and Hunger Games, well, you know, totally amazing.
I'm glad you decided to try. Good luck!
