Let's Play Catch Up

Happy Friday Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't made it to many of your blogs in the last two days, but I promise I will be making my rounds today.

After that, I'm going into a writing frenzy in the cave - think I'm going to aim high for this weekend since I don't have much else planned.

My goal?

I'm going to set the bar way at the top for me for two day's worth of writing - say 8000k (I wanted to say 10k, but come on, I've barely written 2k this entire week). I need to play some serious catch up with regards to my daily word count goal - updates on that to come next week.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend, filled with productivity, fun and relaxation (if possible).

What are your plans for the weekend?

Anyone want to take a (hopefully not mildly ridiculous) word count challenge with me?? :D It doesn't have to be that exact number, just a commitment to make a serious dent in your MS!

My plans are to get well. I have been sick, so I am taking it easy this weekend. Good luck with your word count. I won't play cause I really need to rest.

Nicole - Aw, but hopefully you will get more done. And it's not bad at all - you're halfway there! Good luck!

Tabitha - I'm so sorry to hear that - I hope you feel better soon!

Mohamed - Good idea! It's raining here - my kind of writing weather. Thank you :)

Aubrie - Reading it now, it does seem a little overly ambitious..ayee...but I'm determined!! :D

Saturday I'm working on the house remodel, doing out to a family dinner, and then I have a gig with my band tha tnight.

Sunday, I'm hoping to lock myself in my room and write all day. I doubt I'll hit 8k, but I am aiming for 2k.

If it's nice out this weekend, I want to get in a couple rounds of golf but otherwise, I'll be glued to my keyboard. I seriously have to make another dent in this manuscript. 8-10,000 is over-shooting my goals but I'll be writing with you all weekend :)

I’m hoping to finish this short story I’ve been working on for the past couple of days. And if I can also finish reading my book that would be pretty nice :)
Have a great weekend, hope you reach your goal!

WHOA!!! Don't you mean 8k (for 8000 words), not 8000k? =P I dare not challenge you in a word count. xD Though I must admit you make me more motivated in working on my current WIP. Best of luck writing!!

I hope you're writing is going well.

I just drove back from visiting my dad in Maine this afternoon. It's my daughter's birthday, so in a little while we're getting sushi.

Maybe I'll get squeeze some writing in on Monday. Weekends are impossible here.

Jemi - I hope you have fun too and enjoy the time with your family :)

Lindsay - Yay! Good luck to you too, and make sure you let me know how it goes!

Jan - Thank you! I will definitely post my progress tomorrow ;)

Red Angel - Ahhhaha.. YEs, that is exactly what I mean - I didn't even see that ;D I'm so glad and thank you!

Theresa - Yum, sushi - definitely the perfect way to celebrate a birthday. I hope she has an amazing day.

My plans are to heal from working 7 days straight with half of it first call (meaning little sleep.)

Especially important since I am heading into another 7 day gauntlet!

Hope you write well and much this weekend. Ernest Hemingway would suggest a 1000 words of fine prose would be much better than 4000 of just so-so paragraphs.

Have a great new week, and thanks for the kind words on my blog, Roland

I'm in! I've not been working on my MS at all this week and need to finish editing my last one, so on the weekend I'll try and match 8,000 (I'm not competitive enough to try and do more) :-) Thanks for the motivation!

Roland - I'm sorry it's been so hectic for you :( I hope things get better, and you're able to get some rest. Thank you for the encouragement!

Charmaine - Jump on in, the water is still warm :)
