WiP Update

Wow. I can't believe how much time has passed. We're almost at the end of another year.

As you know, summer just sort of took over my life during the last little while. Between work, writing, numerous family get together's, writing, work, writing, work... did I mention writing and work--blogging fell to the wayside.

I've been visiting over the last week, and quite a few people have taken temporary hiatuses as well.

But alas, September is here, and it's time to get back into the grind.

So. To get things started, I wanted to give you a quick WiP update.

Where things stand now:

I'm just about at the end of a major revision/rewrite which I hope to fully complete by the end of this week. After that, I will be doing another minor revision round of things I've highlighted, and then print the whole baby out for final edits.

What about you guys? How are things going with your WiP's? What has everyone been up to? Any interesting summer stories?

Yup, same here. School's back in session, so it's easier to stick to a writing schedule, which is good, because I've got Book Two due!

Good luck with the edits. Sounds like you've got a strategy nailed down, which I totaly envy. :)

Happy Monday!

Welcome back--and congratulations on your progress :-) I've been busy with rewrites, new character sketches, and a picture book collaboration with my daughter. Sometimes progress seems slow, but hopefully we're heading in the right direction!

I love September because the Monster is back in school and I get to have my schedule back.

Working on a final edits for book 1. Trying to finish book 2. Creating a novella for fun. Then again, always revisions on everything else. It never ends.

My son's not old enough for school yet, but I look forward to having half-days to myself in just over a year. I just finished the fourth revision of my latest WIP.

Welcome back! It's been a crazy summer. I'm happy to have a bit of normality here again, even though this autumn will be busy!

I am working on edits right now, as well. It feels like I've spent more time on rewriting and editing than I did on writing originally. lol

I am in that nether zone between finishing a novel and beginning a new one--trying to get edits for the first and scrounge up ideas for the second.

Best of luck on revising! And cool blog. Thanks for visiting mine!

It seems like everyone is just getting back into the swing of things too--myself included.
This summer was...interesting, between the lice outbreak, the earthquake and the hurricane evacuation. LOL It's good to be back writing.

My WIP keeps growing, shifting, pulling in all directions. You're lucky yours is down to final edits :)
